Business and Intellectual Property Centre - BIPC
The BIPC Waltham Forest is London's first Business and Intellectual Property Centre Local, launched in strategic partnership with the British Library in March 2021.
The Business & IP Centre (BIPC) in Waltham Forest provides a range of tailored support services for businesses. One of the primary offerings is personalised, one-to-one advice available either in person at the business centre in Leytonstone or virtually via Zoom. These consultations aim to build trust and understanding between clients and the BIPC team, allowing for ongoing, customised support. Clients also have access to business research databases such as FAME, COBRA, and IBIS World through the Information Specialist.
BIPC Waltham Forest also hosts various workshops designed to help businesses with digital marketing, website development, sales processes, business streamlining, and company formation. These workshops are available both online and in-person and are often run in conjunction with events held by the British Library's BIPC. Additionally, the centre offers free monthly drop-in sessions for tax and accounting advice, business plan reviews, assistance with grant applications, and regular networking events. The BIPC team is also committed to youth outreach, providing support and opportunities for young entrepreneurs through various programmes and events at local schools and colleges. Monthly trader markets and special themed markets, like the one for International Women’s Day, offer entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their talents.
