The Minority Business Matters programme caters to ethnic minority businesses, or EMBs (defined as entities that are at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds) with targeted support directed towards startups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Open to leaders within all Waltham Forest-based ethnic minority businesses. This initiative particularly encourages participation from those who identify as LGBTQ+ or have disabilities.

Minority Business Matters is a collaboration between Heart of the City, dedicated to kickstarting responsible business journeys for small enterprises in London and MSDUK, the UK's foremost supplier diversity organisation.
