Diabetes Action CIC

Diabetes Action CIC (DAC) is a Non-for-Profit organisation and provides Health & Wellbeing Community Hub with activities including:
- Raising awareness of Diabetes and its complications
- Helping those at risk of developing Diabetes to maintain healthy and physical lifestyles
- Promoting the physical and mental wellbeing of people with diabetes (PWD) and those at
risk of developing Diabetes
- Support people with diabetes (PWD) and their families to maintain optimum health and
good health outcomes
- Providing platform for parents of Children, Young People and Adults with Diabetes to
discuss issues that may affect their lives through peer support and health promotion
- Opportunity for physical and virtual exercise and supporting beneficiaries to keep fit and
healthy
- Providing preventative programmes: educational seminars, health promotion, exercise,
cookery classes, Tai Chi, Yoga, Health MOT
- Provision of food parcels through our food bank
- Providing volunteering opportunities for our residents and representing the aims and
interest of our members
- Organising social events, community engagement and fundraising
- Recruitment of local 'Diabetes Champions' committed to supporting people with
diabetes and their families
